Interests and Hobbies

Our Lodge members have varied interets and hobbies which include classic cars, motorbikes, motorsport, golf and aviation.

Motorsport and Classic cars:

GT40 Replica

In 1998 one of our members who had a passion for 1960 race cars, decided to undertake the build of a replica Ford GT40. The build took approx 5 years to complete with a lot of sweat, tears and swearing!

Motorbikes and Scooters:

Totally original Spanish Lambretta Eibar LI150 1965. In rust free condition with 38,000 Km on the original speedo. Totally stripped and rebuilt by one of our members with upgraded engine (185cc BGM) and electronic ignition.

Flying:

One of our members was in the Royal Naval Air Squadron flying, among other helicoptors, Seaking Mk4 and assault helicoptors. Since leaving the Royal Navy he has served as a pilot in the Air Ambulance Service.


Sailing:

One of our members took part in the Fastnet Race in the Solent sailing on a Sigma 38. The folowing photos show the yacht off the coast of the Isle of Wight and Plymouth.
